Microsoft has announced that it has aid off 3,000 employees from its U.S. and worldwide locations as part of a previously announced cost-cutting initiative. From InformationWeek : “This is difficult news to share,” said Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, in an e-mail to employees.
